Migrating app data from MDB to AF

This section describes how to migrate RtReports application data from the PI Module Database, a component of the PI Data Archive, to PI Asset Framework after the installation process. This migration only affects users who have upgraded RtReports 5.0 or prior to the current version, and chose to keep this application data in the PI Module Database at upgrade time. Fresh installs will already have their application data stored in PI Asset Framework. Users should be advised that RtReports may be temporarily unavailable during this migration process.

1. Open Windows PowerShell, navigate to %PIHOME%\RtReports\bin, and run Migrate-MdbToAF.ps1 with the required parameter AFServerPath (\\<Server_Name>\<Template_Path>) specified.

2. Launch the RtReports Editor application.

3. Select File > Admin > Templates Maintenance.

4. Select Relink to relink any persisted strings to the new AF templates on your AF server.
