Saving Alarms and Events as Historical Data

  • Last UpdatedMay 24, 2022

Alarms and events detected by the Application Server at run time are saved as historical data to the Historian for the host engine. Alarms are a type of event that can be historized. In addition, alarm-related events such as Acknowledge are also saved as historical alarm data.

You can save alarm counts by severity level as historical data. For more information about mapping alarm severities to priority ranges and saving alarm counts aggregated by severity level to the Historian, see Configuring Alarm Historization, Mapping, and Shelving Priority Ranges.
