Standard Controls and AVEVA Toolbox

The Standards Controls and the AVEVA Toolbox list all available controls that can be added to a report.

On the Report Designer tab, in the Windows group, select Toolbox from the Windows drop-down menu to display the Toolbox.
To add a control from the Toolbox, perform one of the following actions:

Double-click a control on the Toolbox, the control is created at the top left corner of the currently select band.

Drag and drop a control from the Toolbox onto the required report location.

Select an item on the Toolbox and click on the required report location.

Select an item on the Toolbox and draw a bounding rectangle on the report location by holding the left mouse button and dragging the cursor from one corner of the rectangle to the opposite corner.

Click the control to perform selection, re-positioning or resizing operations. The control is automatically selected when placed on a report.
A control is used to display information in a report (for example, static or bound text, a line, a picture or a check box).
Add Controls to a Report

To add a control, drag it from the Toolbox onto the report layout.

To automatically create a control bound to data, drag a field from the Field List window, and drop it onto the report layout. When dropping a field directly onto an existing control, the control is bound to the data field.

When a selected field is dragged with the right mouse button, a drop-down menu displays when the right mouse button is released. Use this menu to specify the type of control to be created.

Note:
When the controls overlap, the report can be displayed incorrectly when exported to HTML, XLS, XLSX or RTF formats. Red warning marks and a tooltip indicate this. The red warning marks can be switched off using the Show Export Warnings report property.
