This chapter provides an overview of all the installation steps and the order in which you should perform them.

The AVEVA NET Gatekeeper and AVEVA Change Manager installation process consists of the following steps:

  • Review the system requirements

  • Run the AVEVA WDA Framework Installer

  • Create a SQL Server Database and a database user

  • Run the Common Files Installer

  • Use AVEVA Application deployment tool to configure deployment parameters

  • Run deployment of AVEVA NET Gatekeeper or AVEVA Change Manager

  • Complete post-deployment tasks

  • Start using AVEVA NET Gatekeeper or AVEVA Change Manager

The chapter also gives an overview of the steps required to upgrade AVEVA NET Gatekeeper and AVEVA Change Manager, which typically include the following steps:
