Configure Local DTC Settings

To configure local DTC settings:

1. Click Start and then type "run" to open the Run application.

2. In the Run application, type the dcomcnfg command to open Component Services.

   

3. In Component Services, go to Computers > My Computer > Distributed Transaction Coordinator.

   

4. Right-click Local DTC and select Properties.

5. Go to the Security tab, and in the Security Settings section, select the following check boxes:

   • Network DTC Access

   • Allow Remote Clients

   • Allow Remote Administration

   • Allow Inbound

   • Allow Outbound

   • Enable XA Transactions

   • Enable SNA LU 6.2 Transactions

     

     Note: Leave the other settings unchanged.

6. Click Apply, and then click Yes to stop and restart the service with the new settings applied.

   

7. Click OK to close the confirmation window.

   

8. Click OK to close the Local DTC Properties window.
