PI Interface node

A computer that hosts one or more PI Interfaces and handles data collection from external systems. It runs the interface executables, manages their configuration files, and passes collected data to the PI Data Archive. Historically, interface nodes were also called data collection nodes or API nodes, reflecting their use of the PI API for connectivity.
