A configuration that allows PI Server components to continue operating if the primary node becomes unavailable. High availability uses redundant nodes that automatically switch roles during planned maintenance or unplanned failures to minimize data loss and downtime. For Data Archive, HA provides continuous data collection and client connectivity through primary and secondary nodes. For AF Server, HA supports failover of the AF Server service to maintain access to metadata, analytics, and notifications. Also known as: high availability (HA)
