A reserved portion of a computer's hard disk used by the operating system as an extension of physical RAM (virtual memory). In the PI System, the pagefile may influence performance, especially for memory intensive operations like data archiving, retrieval, or processing, if the PI Server or client application exceeds available physical memory.
