Units of Measure (UOM)

A standardized, centrally managed representation of a measurable quantity in the PI System. UOMs are organized into classes based on physical dimensions, follow the International Standard of Units (SI), and enable automatic conversion and consistent interpretation of data values across PI System applications. Examples of UOM classes are Mass, Volume, and Density.
