PI trust

A security object used by the PI Server to authenticate a client application or service based on host, user, and executable attributes. It grants access rights to the Data Archive when modern authentication methods such as PI identities and mappings are not available or not used. PI trusts are considered a legacy security mechanism and should be replaced by mappings to Windows identities whenever possible.
