AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management

Install Help Files in Custom Location (Optional)

AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management Deployment Manager automatically installs the help files into the Help folder in the AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management site on the application server, at the same level as the bin directory. For example: C:\AVEVA\ERM_Test\help.

When the default Help Manual Path is used, no manual copying of help files is required.

If a custom Help Manual Path is specified in the d0073 ERM System Settings dialog, in the System tab, in Help Manual Path field, which is stored in the DFLT_SYSTEM database table in the MANUAL_PATH column, the help files contained in that path are used.

When you use the default Help Manual Path, you access the help files via the HTTP protocol through the HTTP port configured for the AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management site (usually port93xx).

If a network share or mapped network drive is specified as the Help Manual Path, ensure that all client machines are granted sufficient access permissions to that location.

Disable client-side caching by configuring appropriate HTTP response headers when the help files are hosted on a separate web server or IIS site. Otherwise, browsers may display outdated versions of updated .pdf files.
