Split a material instance

Split a material instance for a material holding. To raise a material non-conformance for a part of the material instance, you can split the material instance.

1. Navigate to the s60045 Edit Material Details screen.

2. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

3. In the Material Holding grid, select a row.

4. In the Material Details grid, select a row.

5. On the s60045 menu, in the Material Details group, select Split.

   The d0093 Split Material Instance dialog appears.

6. In the d0093 Split Material Instance dialog, in the Qty on New Line field, enter the quantity for the split material instance.

   Note: Ensure the value in the Qty on New Line field is less than the original value in the Qty Left on Original Line field.

7. To split the material instance, select Split.

   A pop-up appears.

8. Read the warning message, and then select Yes, Split Instance.

   The material instance is split into two material instances.

   In the Material Details grid, the split material instances appear.
