Split a site MTO item

Split a site Material Take-Off (MTO) item into two separate items. The new site MTO item contains the same material and links back to the same material take-off or part list as the original site MTO item. You can manually distribute the quantity between the two items.

You can split a site MTO item when a part of the material quantity in the site MTO item requires different handling. For example, when you want to replace a part of the material requirement by using a substitute material, you can split a site MTO item into two: one site MTO item that is substituted with a different material and another site MTO item to retain the original material.

1. Navigate to the s23001 Site MTO screen.

2. In the Current Material control block, from the Project dropdown, select the ID of the required project.

3. To refresh the screen, select the F5 key.

4. In the Site MTO grid, select a row.

5. In the Material Details grid, select the item you want to split.

6. On the s23001 menu, in the Add Position group, select Split Line item.

   The d0404 Split Site MTO Item dialog appears.

7. In the Distribute Qty Between New and Original Line Item section, in the Qty on New Line field, enter the quantity for the new site MTO item.

8. Select Split.

   A pop-up window appears.

9. Read the warning message and select Yes, Split Line Item.

   In the Material Details grid, a copy of the selected site MTO item is created.

   In the General tab, the Site Qty field is updated for the new site MTO item and the Site Adjustment Qty field is updated for the original site MTO item.
